Y8 Winter Fair

On Tuesday 24th November, Y8 students put on a winter fair in the school hall for students of other years to attend. There were games & raffles to be played and food/drink to be bought. All money raised will be used to improve school with ideas from the students.

The total money raised was £240!! Well done to all Year 8 students, the teachers who helped out and to all the students who came and supported the fair.

Children In Need

A big well done to all students, staff & parents!! With all the events organised for Children In Need 2008, the school raised £811 for the charity!!

Tameside Pupil Achievement Awards 2009

The Tameside Achievement Awards are presented annually to two pupils from each school that wishes to take part. Schools are invited to nominate a pupil who has achieved very good academic attainment and a pupil who has made excellent progress.

Andrew Chapman (Year 11) was nominated for his progress made during his time at HTS & Charlie Gilbertson (Year 10) was nominated for his outstanding contribution to student voice.

Change Of School Timings

The consultation on the proposal to change the finishing time of the school day has now finished. Hyde Technology School will start at 9.00am and finish at 3.00pm from September 2009. Notes from the consultation meeting can be found HERE
